Been here a lot recently XDAnyway, was just fiddling around looking at CPU-Z and I noticed that my 8GB of SAMSUNG DDR3 RAM was running at 667MHz rather than the 1333MHz Ask ! In gaming the gains are 0. Xmp Memory Do you really want to spend over $100 for a 1-2% gain in only some certain situations? And the best part it's completely free. @James - Downloaded RAM is great, it increases computer's efficieny and makes it run smoothly. First off wanted to thank you guys for your great help! When I use my BIOS to go higher, the maximum I can go is 1600 mHz, and it BSOD very often if I do. As long as you are able to overclock your processor and run the RAM at DDR3 1600 speeds there is no need to buy a new board. I am running it at the tested voltage of 1.5V.
